Settling in Denver, Colorado from St. Louis, Taalib-din planted his seeds and GBTW began to grow. Previously incarcerated themselves, they both knew the struggles of returning home and becoming healthy productive citizens. So they set forth to assist others in this plight.
As time advanced, Taalib-din became a case manager of a non-profit organization where he shared office space and continued his undying commitment. All the while, Mustaffa continued to water and nurture his seeds in St. Louis.
In a leap of faith in 2008, Taalib-din assembled an all volunteer staff and moved his offices to the Historic Five Points area to better serve the disadvantaged community severely afflicted with poverty, incarceration, substance abuse, school drop out, teen pregnancy, hunger and gang violence.
